Hazard summary
Front control knobs can be activated unintentionally, causing gas release and potential fire risk.
Compare these values to the label on your appliance before requesting a remedy.
This recall update affects select Dacor gas ranges with front-mounted knobs that may rotate when bumped by contact from people, pets, or nearby objects. Unintended activation can release gas and, in some cases, ignite if an ignition source is present.
Reports include unintended burner activation and property damage events. While many units operate normally, affected model and serial ranges should be verified immediately through the official recall sources.
Until your unit is confirmed and corrected, keep the area in front of knobs clear and check burner status before leaving the kitchen and before bedtime.
What to do: Request the official lock-out/guard remedy kit and follow installation instructions, or schedule an in-home service update where available.
Follow the official program from CPSC or the manufacturer for refunds, repairs, or replacements.
Consumers should request the no-cost knob guard and warning kit or schedule the manufacturer remedy update. Keep controls clear and verify all burners are off after each use.
