Dacor repair · Dacor Appliance Support
Built-in Dacor microwaves need a steady hand. We troubleshoot heating, doors, and controls safely and tell you honestly when a repair is the smart choice—or when it may be time to replace. Same-day and next-day appointments are often available in Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, and nearby areas.
Built-in microwaves pack a lot of power into a small space—even unplugged, internal parts can hold a dangerous charge. Dacor Appliance Support is not part of Dacor; we use the brand name only so you know which appliances we work on.
Because the unit sits in a cabinet or trim kit, cooling air paths matter. If your microwave shuts off mid-cycle, we look at ventilation and controls—not only the heating components.
If the repair cost does not make sense for the age of the unit, we will tell you before you spend money on scarce parts.
Runs but does not heat, dim or blank displays, a turntable that groans, or sparks near the waveguide cover are all frequent calls. We also look for food splatter that has carbonized or a door that no longer lines up.
Sometimes the issue is as simple as a tripped breaker or a worn outlet—we check household power early so you are not paying for the wrong fix.
Doors, latches, and internal high-voltage parts must match your model exactly. We do not take shortcuts that could weaken shielding.
Older models may have limited parts availability; if that is the case, we explain it up front.
Please leave the microwave in the cabinet unless we ask you to remove it—alignment matters for built-ins. Clear the counter around it. If you smell burning plastic, stop using the unit and call us.
Never remove the outer cover yourself. If you ever see smoke or fire, follow your emergency plan first, then call for service. Dacor warranty questions are separate from the repair agreement you have with us.
We are an independent repair company—not a factory-authorized service center. You get clear communication, careful work, and honest guidance on what is worth fixing.
We work on Dacor and similar premium appliances regularly, including built-in and pro-style setups where fit, finish, and correct parts matter.
When we replace components, we use certified parts that match your model whenever they are available for the job.
We offer appointment windows in the metro areas we cover. Same-day and next-day visits are often available—call or use our online form to check the next opening.
Qualifying repairs are covered under our written warranty (typically 30 days on parts and labor). Coverage details are printed on your invoice.
We explain what we found and provide a written estimate before major work. You approve the scope and price before we move ahead.
If repair is not the best option, we will tell you. Our goal is a safe, lasting fix—not unnecessary parts or upsells.
Practical answers about how we work and what to expect.
That usually points to a high-voltage component failure. Because microwaves store dangerous electrical charge, internal repairs should always be handled by a qualified technician.
Unusual noise can come from the cooling fan, turntable motor, or internal electrical components. Turn the unit off and schedule service if the noise is new or heating performance has dropped.
No. Sparking can indicate damaged interior surfaces, waveguide issues, or component failure. Stop use and have the unit inspected before running it again.
